Twentieth Annual Spring Environmental Lecture and Luncheon

The 20th Annual Spring Environmental Lecture and Luncheon took place on April 21, 2010 at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC.

Moderator for the event was Lynn Sherr, former correspondent for ABC News’ “20/20,” who now reports for a wide range of broadcast, print, and online media including PBS, public radio, The Daily Beast, More magazine, and Town and Country magazine, among others.

Panelists included Rob Watson is chairman, CEO, and chief scientist of EcoTech International, which he founded to address global demand for green building technologies and services. The “founding father of LEED,” Watson is an international leader in the green building movement.

Joshua Wiener is CEO and founder of Silverlining Interiors Inc. (SLI), a general contracting firm specializing in high-end renovations for apartments and townhouses in the New York metropolitan area. SLI has recently taken the initiative to incorporate and educate their clients about green building techniques.

Robin Wilson is a nationally recognized eco-friendly and healthy home interior designer focused on the “foundation to the furniture.” Her firm Robin Wilson Home is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.

The panel focused on environmentally sound choices and practices for the urban home in addition to providing information on sustainable products and on how to be “green in the city.” The panel featured a selection of green-design experts who will address topics ranging from home construction and organization to interior design.

All proceeds from the Spring Environmental Lecture and Luncheon support the Museum’s scientific research and educational initiatives, including important work in biodiversity conservation.
