Actress director Angelica Page poses with her Fame Wall portrait by Jim Warren

Actress director Angelica Page (formerly known as Angelica Torn) was officially inducted into the celebrated Fame-Wall at legendary theatrical watering hole Hurley's Saloon at an event hosted by Dale Badway to benefit The Actors Fund.

Torn, the daughter of stage and film legends actor Rip Torn and the late Oscar winning Geraldine Page, had her portrait, painted by Jim Warren, unveiled at the event (other Fame-Wall inductees include John Stamos, Kelsey Grammer and Kristin Chenoweth). Looking very 21st century in a short skirted black evening, she posed with her portrait in which she wears a sexy, va-va-voom vintage screen goddess worn by her mother, Geraldine Page, to the premiere of "Sweet Bird of Youth" in which she starred with Paul Newman.
Page (who's legally changed her name) has, this year, directed a limited-run of the off-Broadway musical "Soldier's Song" and starred in a production of Eugene O'Neill's "Anna Christie" at The Actors Studio (both here and in LA). She also starred as Marie Curie in "The Radiant" a new play last spring. She was slated to appear at Guild Hall on August 28 in the Naked Angels production of “Sideman” which was cancelled due to Hurricane Irene. She received the Helen Hayes Award for her leading role in “Sideman”. Ms. Page has numerous television and film and has been singled out for praise for her work in “Nobody’s Fool” with Paul Newman and “The Sixth Sense”.
Recently, Page has written two new pilots for cable and is in development with six new films and three plays to be produced over the next four years. She is a lifetime member of the Actors Studio and serves on its board of directors. Actively involved with the charities PAVE and Opening Act, she is developing a foundation for the arts to foster emerging artists in her mother’s name.
Among the guests on hand to applaud the honoree were producer Barbara Ligeti, Michael Alden, Brendan Cohen and several hundred other guests.
Fame Wall creator Dale Badway has hosted events with such entertainment icons as Whoopi Goldberg, Hugh Jackman, John Stamos, Gina Gershon, Chita Rivera, Brooke Shields, Kristin Chenoweth, and Bernadette Peters.Fame-Wall is a portrait gallery that celebrates personalities in the arts and entertainment who have made a significant impact and inspired others through their work. The portraits are housed at two gallery locations: Hurley's NYC in Times Square and Trastevere in the Kodak Theatre Plaza, Hollywood.
From wild and whimsical to sweet and sensuous, for over 30 years Jim Warren has been painting his way into the hearts and minds of people a world over. Already considered a "Living legend in the art world", Jim's work has been described as "Salvador Dali meets Norman Rockwell!" He was even commissioned by Disney to include their animated characters within their paintings, a tremendous and rare honor.
Hurley's Saloon has long been steeped in the rich history of Broadway fare since 1892 making it the perfect new home to Fame-Wall New York. Located in the heart of the Theater District the landmark tavern has played host to scores of Broadway’s most glittering lights and hundreds of thousands of theatergoers.
